FRIULI - IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE

PATRIARCHS OF AQUILEIA

For centuries, the Patriarchy of Aquileia was one of the most powerful political and economical 'players' in Europe.  This lecture will tell the story of the now-forgotten patriarchy through the magnificent monuments of Friuli, the early Christian basilicas, magnificent mosaics, medieval chapels, frescoes and rococo palazzos.
